Background

After graduating from law school, Chris moved back to his hometown in Lee County where he worked for the Public Defenders Office for nearly three years. During this time, Mr. O’Keefe spent most of his time in the Felony Division representing clients who were facing five or more years in prison. Among his many successes there, he obtained a not-guilty verdict for a man charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.


Mr. O’Keefe’s educational background includes:


JD—Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; graduated in the top 20%

  • Legal internship, Nova’s Children and Family Clinic, representing clients in divorce, dependency, termination of parental rights, and adoption cases
